Why Freddy J’s bar & kitchen? Where did the name actually come from?
My mother who, you know, as Nancy from Kneble’s Auto Service Center, calls my father, Freddie Jay, since they started dating.
His name is actually Frederick Jay, but everyone here in town, knows him as.
Fred.
This location is a landmark in Mays Landing, just as my father is a pillar of our family.
Fred’s hobby is smoking meats and experimenting in the kitchen, whether it’s behind the auto shop or at home.
And now we have a place in our community to eat memorable food.
But fun fact, my brother Grant actually named the place.
