Everytime I’ve gone the food has been outstanding! Phyllis has always been our waitress—attentive and fun, she makes our time there so enjoyable. The soups, salads, bowls, burgers….everything is great.

My hubby and I decided to finally come your restaurant for the first time on Thursday. Let me tell you…The food was so outstanding and delicious just as we expected it to be, but I think our expectations were surpassed lol. And our server Aimee S was absolutely friendly, helpful and provided excellent service. Tell Aimee thank you for making our experience the best and we will definitely be back to see her, especially since we already know what we want to order already lol. Awesome job guys…keep it up.

Freddy J’s is a gem. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Much better than most of the long established restaurants we frequent, and we can’t wait to go back and sample the other menu choices. The chefs ingenuity in tweaking the ingredients to create outstanding flavors is impressive.

We also enjoyed our server, Phyllis who was very helpful and a sweetheart. Great service.

We were there a couple of weeks ago. Was undecided about ordering the “Smoked” wings. Our server Phyllis highly recommended them. Was a great suggestion. I went to dinner at Freddy J’s with a friend, and we had a new waitress named Mea. She was very friendly and checked on our table several times to make sure everything was ok or to ask if we needed anything else. My friend and I each had the chicken tenders, and they were excellent. Both the service and the food was great. I would give it five stars.

The food has always been fantastic. Love the shrimp and grits, and the burgers and ribs are outstanding. The smoked wings are awesome!! We love the drink specials, and the Bloody Marys are terrific!! Our bartender and server, Maggie, always takes the best care of us. The bar, restaurant, and outdoor space are super cute! Highly recommend this restaurant and bar. Great atmosphere! I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. Their menu is the perfect length with the perfect variety. The staff is very serious about COVID precautions, and it was very reassuring. The food itself- is AMAZING. Must-have appetizers would include the bang bang shrimp and caramelized brussels sprouts. For entrees, the short rib mac and cheese and Philly melt were also amazing. Finally, the creme brulee was fantastic. The menu prices are completely reasonable.

The staff is really pleasant! Amanda the bartender is super cool and helpful with just about anything you recommend drink wise. My best friend had me hooked on a king island sub cola for pineapple (thank us later) She had me SOLD on the smoked old fashion however and I must say… AMAZINGLY GOOD!They have some of the best wings simply because they are smoke and all the food is made to order daily. Highly recommend it for a hot locals spot and also for a nice chill vibe to catch up with friends or a quiet lunch date. I’ve been a few times and have yet to be disappointed.

Freddy J's is "top of the line." Each time I am there I try something different on the menu and have never been disappointed. I especially am hooked on the Mushroom Risotto but everything is wonderful. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. The staff is accommodating and pleasant and makes you feel right at home. I can recommend Freddie J's without reservation. Better yet - get a reservation because the place is always packed. That's what happens when you combine quality with service. Great place. If you haven't already - try it soon!

We went shopping and decided to try this gem while we were out. Short 15-20 minute ride from AC and totally worth it! The atmosphere is so laid back and the staff is very attentive. The food is out of this world and the portions are insane! We had the Brussels, the Buffalo cheese curds, ribs, and shrimp and grits sans the shrimp. We had a full second meal with the leftovers! Incredible diamond in the rough for an out-of-towner. Needed a spot for a quick bite and a beer after a round of golf on a hot day. The A/C was cranking. The chicken wings were smoked and tossed in sauce which made for an amazing taste combo. Burger with short ribs on top was very satisfying. And the service was top notch! Would 100% be back.

I was staying at Sugar Hill Inn for the weekend and am so glad Freddy J’s was next door! The food was great, the drinks were great, and their staff was so friendly and lovely. I only tired a few things but if you like french onion soup, try theirs - it’s SO good. A special shout out to Ron, Maggie (sorry if I misspelled your names) and Grant the owner. July 4 update: We had lunch here for the first time last week. Another couple was with us - their first time here ever. They loved it and we did as well - food was delicious! We had pulled pork and burgers - very, very good. Fries were great and the homemade chips are awesome. Hanna (our server) was great and Lizz (bartender) makes a great bloody Mary. Highly recommend.My wife and I had dinner here with another couple on Saturday evening. It was the first time at Freddy J's for all of us. We all had something different and all our food was delicious. The picture here is of the pulled pork sandwich - totally awesome. The home made chips are great - very addictive! Our server was great and attentive (thank you, Amanda!) and Freddy J's had a nice vibe to it.Don't miss out on eating here...

One of our favorite local restaurants! We’ve gone several times for spur of the moment date nights & always been so happy that we did! The staff is incredibly friendly & welcoming. The food & drinks are always amazing and their prices are extremely reasonable. Each time we go we try something different & each time they out-do themselves.This past Saturday we had their hummus platter, smoked wings, street corn, smoked meatloaf, chicken sandwich, a local beer, & their banana cream pie moonshine. Everything was incredible!! Best wings I’ve ever had. So good in fact that after you have them, you’ll probably never want other wings again!If you haven’t been to one of their monthly supper club events- you really should! UNREAL. The food & drink pairings will blow your mind & leave you counting down the days until the next one! (Like we are!)In fact, we had a family emergency the night of the last supper club & had to show up 35 minutes late. I called & spoke with the chef. She was so kind & they really went out of their way to make sure that we received the full meal (with drinks) from start to finish, even taking the time to explain each course & ensuring that we had time to enjoy & savor each dish without feeling rushed.As a family of 8, on a budget, we truly appreciate our time there. Sometimes you just need to get out, have a break, & unwind. It’s really nice when you’re feeling stressed - to have a place that makes you feel so welcomed, appreciated, & valued.Note: I also included a few pics of some of the flowers from their outdoor area. Y’all! Don’t sleep on this place! So cute! Everyone is so friendly from the staff to patrons! The ambiance of the establishment is so cute and homey. I loved everything I ordered to the last bite. My husband and I stopped here for lunch after hearing so many great things about this place and boy they weren’t wrong! After being torn on what to order, we both got the Nashville chicken sandwich and collards and we both shared the buffalo cheese curds. Everything was well seasoned and delicious! Beautiful day for lunch outside. Liz the bartender was very friendly and so was our waitress, I believe her name was Melinda. Loved eating outside. I love the buffalo cheese-curds. The pulled pork tostadas were good. The chicken sandwich was good but a little like bland/hot. It was spicy and would have been better with some kind of sweet hot sauce to compliment it. We happened upon Freddy Js and so happy that we did. We sat at the bar and right away Liz was an absolute hoot! In today’s world, it’s so hard to find genuine people; Liz is one.The food was very good. I had the pulled pork sandwich (without the bun because I’m gluten-free) with homemade chips and my husband had the special, which was home smoked beef brisket on a brioche bun with fries and homemade pickles to die for.

My wife and I were looking for a good place to grab lunch and Freddy J's was recommended. We walked in and were immediately greeted and sat at a table for 2 in the bar area. Amanda was our waitress and she couldn't have been nicer. We asked what was good and she suggested the Chicken Sandwich. So my wife and I both ordered it. I have to say that it may have been one of the best I've had anywhere. It was served with homemade potato chips which were just right. The sandwich was topped with tomato, lettuce, pickles and mayo. I will definitely return for another Chicken Sandwich or maybe one of their burgers which we happened to hear another customer talk about as we were leaving. Had Sunday Brunch. First time here, sat at the bar. Food and service was great! 5 of us in total. Always consistent with good food and service. Bang bang shrimp and Nashville chicken sandwich are my ho to but I would recommend trying everything on the menu. I have enjoyed it all. I saw a post on Facebook about the St. Patrick’s Day special, corned beef and cabbage, and just had to change our dinner plans. Man was I so glad I did! She made a smoked old fashioned that was so unique and delicious! Excellent food, accommodating service, and a welcoming environment!We had a group of about 15 people here from our local LGBTQ+ group for brunch, and Debbie at Freddy J's took fantastic care of us! She gave us time when we needed to look over the menu and catch up with members, was on top of things when we needed refills for our coffee/water, and she was made sure we had seating that could accommodate everyone without splitting us up. Couldn’t be happier with the quality of the food that comes from the kitchen here. I have been here a number of times since they have opened and each time I am greeted with a smiling face and a cold beer. I ordered a Triple B Burger, which comes with apple smoked bacon, bourbon BBQ, sharp cheddar cheese burger and it came out amazing. The bartender Liz went above and beyond both times I was here! I don't normally write reviews, but, felt compelled to do so this time. What a lovely experience we (my fiancee) had at Freddy J's! Our server , Brittany, was warm, pleasant, and informative about the various menus. Our dinner was great! I had the half rack of ribs, which come with two large sides, mine being mac & cheese (to die for) and baked beans, also very good. My Fiancee had shrimp in butternut squash risotto. She raved about how good it was. Portions are plentiful at Freddy J's. My half rack was 9 ribs, St Louis style, with a wet rub. Almost forgot, we had A Bang Bang shrimp app.. The shrimp were large and cooked perfectly. We will return again, for sure.

I’ve gone to Freddy J’s numerous times and most recently decided it was time to leave my 5 star mark on this fine establishment.Their menu evolved over time but their staple items continue to improve as well.The bang bang shrimp is always a great starter and the St. Louis ribs are smoked so well and fall right off the bone.Excellent atmosphere inside and friendly wait staff when I take out.Can’t say enough good things and also looking forward to coming back again!

I wish I would have taken pictures, but it all looks so good I dig in right away! We moved into the area last year and we are so excited we found this place. The Brussels sprouts are out of this world, the French onion soup is the best I’ve ever had, and as a huge fan of short ribs I have loved everything I’ve had with them so far (short rib Benny, Mac n cheese, and the short rib grilled cheese 🤤) . Ate there the other day after magnet fishing in the marina. Food was awesome, I had the Short Rib Grilled Cheese and I absolutely loved it. Washed it down with a couple Yuenglings on tap and I couldn't be happier. Staff / Bartenders were just as awesome as the food. I definitely will be back there.

Stopped in to Freddy J’s for lunch today with my kids and mother in-law. The place is so beautifully decorated. I don’t know where they got the dining chairs, but they are awesome. Super comfortable. Let’s get to the food. My mother in-law had the margherita flatbread, my girls split a cheeseburger and fries and I got the Freddy J burger which was stout braised short rib, crispy onions, sharp cheddar on top of a burger patty. Absolutely mouthwatering. So glad to have found another local restaurant with awesome food. Also, I’d like to add that the staff was all really friendly as well.

Newly open, service isn't bad but it's improving with time. Food is mostly really good so far. Interesting menu and flavorful foods. Been there 3 or 4x now and 2 things were overcooked/dry and the rest was absolutely amazing. The service we had Sunday was spectacularUpdate: the new outside area is perfect! They even let us bring our dogs and they brought them water bowls. We love Smitty (server). Food has all been really good. Drinks are fresh and yummy too. Our kids love it. At times the kitchen can be slow but it's nothing crazy... Just enjoy the drinks while you wait!!

Service was excellent and Freddy's has a nice atmosphere! This was our first time in and we plan to be repeat customers. They do have a nice selection of bar drinks. I am a little undecided on the food, the corn bread was good as was the coleslaw and the wife enjoyed her cob salad. I was disappointed with the Cuban, but this is not Florida so I knew going it it would be hit or miss. My wife and I both agreed that the brownie with ice cream dessert was great. Prices are very reasonable and you do get a nice portion size. All in all I would recommend Freddy's as a place to get a good meal along with great service. Pretty sure I will be rating it a 5 in the future as more of the food is experienced.

Service is great!Very nice decor with hipster/rustic/warm feel, definitely something I haven't seen in Mays Landing yet.Food is delicious, you can tell it's very well handled, super fresh and high quality ingredients. Fries were crispy, not oily and seasoned to perfection.Some of the dishes needs a dash more of salt, like the beef patties and potatoes salad. Also if the menu says it the food better show it. I got the Mays landing special, comes with shredded pork ribs, arugula and ricotta spread. I got mixed greens not arugula (still good because it was fresh), and the ricotta"spread" was so thin I never saw it or tasted it. The meat it's soft and had very good flavor but the hoagie absorbed most of the juices so it was a little dry. Needs more spread or the salad some vinaigrette.They have a good selection of beers, Drinks menu sounds delicious, specially the pineapple jalapeno Margarita and Mules. But I'm pregnant, so I'll have to wait to try does.Over all, these are little things that won't stop me of going back. The owner is super nice, I wish they do very well with their new business. Let's support local!!

The food is amazing!! If I could give this place 10 stars I would. The short ribs mac & cheese has the most incredible flavor. The tacos el Pastor is is perfect. The meatloaf (pictured) with collard greens and shrimp salad. These collard greens are hands down the BEST collard greens you will ever eat. My new favorite place.
