History of Freddy J’s Bar & Kitchen

Here is the best addition to the Mays Landing community in a landmark location now known as Freddy J’s Bar & Kitchen. It will become your favorite spot to enjoy fantastic food and your favorite cold beverage.

Frederick and Nancy Kneble bought the restaurant and renovated the property to give the Mays Landing community a place to gather and get a delicious meal.

This comfortable spot features thirteen televisions to play all your favorite sports games right where you want to be on a Tuesday night or Sunday afternoon. The relaxed atmosphere is also perfect for a mid-day meal with your dog on our dog-friendly patio, after-work beverage, family dinner, or late-evening hangout.

History of the ownership

Frederick Kneble has been a community member of Mays Landing for 40+ years, where he started on the corner of Routes 40 and 50 in a two-bay garage, fixing vehicles.

Over time, Fred has expanded to multiple locations where he finally had the opportunity to design and build the Kneble’s Auto Service Center we know today.

However, Kneble’s Auto is not his only passion, as you may find Fred in the back of the garage smoking meats perfecting his hobby.

The inspiration behind the menu

We are excited and committed to providing the highest quality food with a barbeque flare. The menu combines 20% barbeque and 80% fantastic food that culminates in unique flavors.

We strive to make Freddy J’s Bar & Kitchen menu a mouthwatering stop every time. Our fine spirits menu, draft beer selection, and wine list appeals to all palates as they pair with our menu.
